As is the case for most signs, the forecasts for 2026 involve both auspicious and inauspicious stars. For those born under the Monkey sign, one star stands out: it is technically classified as auspicious, but it can also be regarded as neutral; everything depends on how the natives of the Monkey use its energy.
The star in question is the Sky Horse Star, Yi Ma 驛馬 (驿马), also known as the Star of Mobility, which is primarily associated with the idea of movement. If those born under the Monkey hope for a calm year in which everything remains unchanged, this may not accord with the cosmic order. The almanacs say that, for various reasons, from professional to family-related, the year is very likely to be marked by events such as travel, changes of residence, or changes of workplace.
It is also desirable to have a perceptive view of what is happening around them, thereby being able to ‘read’ events and make the appropriate decisions. Especially in professional life and in business, it is therefore important to keep a very open mind, seeking to broaden their view of the world and of their professional field and, in the specific case of business, to remain attentive to possible new markets and new costumer segments.
Assisting in this task is a symbolic star, Wen Chang 文昌, which some masters refer to as the Star of Intelligence (others render it in English as the Academic Star), and which will be an important support for the ability to think quickly, speak clearly and, on the level of ideas, to establish correlations that escape most people.
As happens with the forecasts for all signs, the almanacs do not fail to include the so-called ‘inauspicious stars’ in their predictions. For those born under the Monkey, however, these turn out to be relatively harmless, since there is no adverse zodiac interaction (such as clash or penalty) between the Monkey and the Horse.
One of these inauspicious stars speaks of the ending of certain life or career cycles, which in itself is not necessarily negative, since, as one of the almanacs notes, for a good new cycle to begin, the negative cycle must first end. Other such stars point to a a degree of voluntary withdrawal and detachment from the crowd, which has the advantage of allowing situations and events to be observed with greater objectivity.
