DOG SIGN IN 2026— Slowly but Surely

According to the Bazi (“Eight Characters”) or Sizhu (“Four Pillars”) system, from which the annual Chinese almanacs draw (at least in part), the Dog, together with the Tiger and the Goat, is one of the signs of the Chinese zodiac that enjoys a harmonious relationship with the sign governing 2026, the Horse.
In the destiny chart of those born under the Dog for this year, several “auspicious stars” appear, confirming the constructive tone of the period.
One of these stars, Three Stages, San Tai 三台, gives the year an overall tone of progress and stability, which is reinforced by the remaining factors in the Dog natives’ chart for the current year. The message here is one of advancing step by step and in a structured manner. Nothing explosive, and no sudden stroke of good fortune falling from the sky. That is, in fact, beneficial: every step taken will rest on solid foundations. Above all, one should never pursue anything that appears too good to be true. This will be the safe path to present and future success.
A second star, which cannot be ignored, is Earth Relief, Di Jie 地解. The message it conveys is that we should reconsider the way we have been approaching certain problems and situations that have affected us over time. In other words, this is the moment for a change of paradigm and, very likely, an unexpected event will help to awaken a new perspective. What was previously seen as a problem will cease to be one. Life will change!
A third component of the year’s positive environment is brought by the presence of another auspicious star, the Fortune Nobleman, Fu Xing Gui Ren 福星貴人 (福星贵人). Its influence operates like a kind of “guardian angel”: whenever a critical situation arises, the star manifests its presence and, somewhat unexpectedly, someone appears, in the right place and at the right time, to provide decisive assistance.
Finally, there is also a spiritual and artistic dimension to the atmosphere of this Year of the Horse for those born under the Dog. To a considerable extent this is linked to the Elegant Seal star, Hua Gai 華蓋 (华盖), which not everyone regards as auspicious. The reason is that it involves a certain degree of solitude, a measure of withdrawal from the worldly environment in which most people live. Yet it is precisely from that solitude that the most creative ideas, wisdom, refinement and art may emerge.
