DRAGON SIGN IN 2026— New Beginnings
| Dragon Years: 1952,1964,1976, 1988, 2000, 2012, 2024, 2036* |
The almanacs published in Southern China on the eve of each Chinese Lunar New Year, also known as the Spring Festival, set out the forecasts made by feng shui masters for each of the Chinese zodiac signs.
For those born in the year of the Dragon (the Dragon years are listed at the top), the predictions converge on a central idea: to put one’s house in order.
It is indeed a year to reset. More precisely, what the masters recommend is that this should in fact be a year of reset. The cosmic climate of the year is supportive, but a proactive mental attitude of reset is desirable.
What happens is that, over the years, there is a tendency to reproduce from year to year the same patterns, the same problems and the same goals, regardless of whether they are still in line with new conditions and new realities.
The almanacs state that the opportune moment has arrived to make certain readjustments in life, since the cosmic climate is relatively calm. As regards the relationship between the Horse, the sign of the year, and the Dragon, it is true that there is no configuration that is specifically favourable, but it is also true that there is no clearly disruptive configuration. The climate is relatively neutral, at least from the point of view of the relationship between the two signs.
Supporting all this in 2026 is the presence of two fundamental symbolic stars in the destiny of those born under the Dragon sign: Heavenly Relief (tianjie 天解) and Relief God (jieshen 解神). What is interesting in the names of these two auspicious stars is the presence of the character jie 解, which basically means to separate, to untie, to undo, to dispel.
If we reflect carefully, a large part of the problems in our lives has to do with what goes on in our minds, at least partially. A problem exists when two factors, elements, desires or conditions contradict one another. Part of this equation concerns our minds: what we want (or do not want) and the existence of components of reality that run in the opposite direction. What we want or do not want may make sense at a certain moment in our lives, but may cease to make sense at another moment, in another phase of life. As a friend of mine often says, problems are not solved, they ‘dissolve’: the parts that are in subjective conflict are separated.
That is where the idea of reset begins to make sense. It may then happen, in 2026 under the sign of the Horse, that what was previously a problem will cease to be one, because it has meanwhile become outdated and the person is able to carry out the appropriate reset.
There is more to be said about the Dragon sign in 2026, but I prefer to add it in the comments section of this post.
