SNAKE SIGN IN 2026 — No Need to Hide

Snake Years: 1929, 1941, 1953, 1965, 1977, 1989, 2001, 2013, 2025, 2037 *

Practically all almanacs and masters begin by noting the contrast between the year of the Snake, now ended, and the year of the Horse, 2026.
Contrary to what our Western logic might suppose, years of the Snake are not necessarily good for those born under that same sign. In traditional Chinese reasoning, Snake years can be problematic for Snake natives. It is said that, in such cases, there is a clash between the energies of the sign and the energies of the year, precisely because they are of the same nature.

This concept appears to be related to the principle of equilibrium, which is one of the fundamental laws of the Bazi system. Considering a given energy, what is most desirable is that it combines with an energy of the opposite polarity. Therefore, when Snake energy encounters another Snake energy, this tends to represent a certain degree of friction, which will manifest itself through unfavourable circumstances, such as a competitive environment, etc.

For this reason, comparatively speaking, the year 2026 is seen as bringing some relief, since that friction no longer exists. (As a side note, despite this, the forecasts presented for 2025 with regards to the Snake sign contained several positive aspects)

As for the rest, the general tone presented for the current year is clearly positive, suggestin
g a year of progress, personal affirmation and the attainment of some status. One might say that, at last, the Snake can safely leave its hiding place…

One of the auspicious stars frequently mentioned in the almanacs is Lu Xun 祿勛. It promises that work and efforts made will be praised and recognised, with the possibility of career advancement and opportunities to shine.

In the Snake’s outlook for the current year, the presence of the ‘star’ Mo Yue 陌越 is also indicated, pointing in the same direction, namely with regard to the acquisition of some status and the emergence of favourable circumstances in one’s career.

With respect to finances and business, the Snake native may benefit from the generally positive career environment, but this is not the appropriate time for excessively risky ventures and investments. On the contrary, it will be a year conducive to investments oriented towards the future, namely by investing in professional training and undertaking a strategic analysis of market conditions. This is likely to produce results in due course.

Finally, as regards relationships, there may be increased romantic activity, depending on age and prior circumstances, namely the existence (or not) of a stable relationship. In any case, some almanacs predict a very good year for short-term romantic relationships, but not more than that. The probability of starting a relationship that will remain stable for a long time is small. Even so, the almanacs also say that the personality of Snake natives will be particularly magnetic this year…

A final note: these forecasts are merely a light-hearted complement to the Chinese Lunar New Year festivities, intended simply to greet the arrival of the new zodiac year. Although they draw inspiration from certain concepts of the traditional science of Bazi, they do not possess its rigour. In other words, without calculating the natal Bazi chart, based on the exact date and time of birth, it is not possible to make exact forecasts.
